If you were served on paper plates at a formal attire only 8 course meal, would you be upset?
If you attended a supposedly sheik after 6 type affair were formal dress was required and were served on paper plates and plastic serving wear to include expensive and fine wines and other beverages served in plastic Dixie cups, and main courses and desserts served up on thin one ply paper plates that frequently soaked through, along with having to use only plastic forks and spoons and paper napkins, and dessert coffee served in white styrofoam cups.
Would you be bothered by this, especially if this was a non-themed event and the food was served by Waitstaff in a indoor and elegant setting?

You can embellish on the story when retelling it, about the “formal” dinner and the difference between “Dixie brand” , store brand paper plates and “Chinette” for staving off stains from your formal dress or tux.
