Ok roughly how much(£) and how hard would it be to build a dressing table with a lacquer effect finish?

So nothing too complicated just a nice table to fit in a gap, no turning or anything and no drawers or maybe just one, how much harder is it to put a drawer in? I have all woodwork tools and things, i know the type of wood and things matters price wise, but i’d just be using stuff from B&Q. i really like lacquered finishes so if anyone knows if this is easy to do at home or there is a alternative with similar results please say. All answers are really appreciated, i just need rough estimates for now. thanks.

I have been manufacturing purpose made built in unit for many years and I would advise you to buy something from Ikea, I could not buy the basic materials for the cost of some of their units and when you have to factor in labour to build and then to try and get a lacquer finish you will be considerably out of pocket. Unless you have a good eye for proportions detailing and design and a knowledge of furniture construction together with access to a wood work shop and spray booth, then you would be wasting your time I am sorry to say as you would not be happy with a DIY unit.
