Why do women still wear black dresses to important dinners?

The ninteenth century is dead and gone, folks. Time to toss out that Victorian Black! Why, oh why, has this old fogey fashion idea clung to us so tightly that even the thought of wearing dark blue is forbidden? I saw some news about the democrats and I wondered who had died–they were all dresses so drearily. Hello! This is the 21st century folks! Time to trash that foggy old fashion and bring out the COLORS!!!

Great question. I’d like to know the answer to this too. Granted its supposed to be sexy or whatever, but half the time those awful black getups are the farthest thing from sexy. hmmmmmm
